Emily Bartlett's mother says Emily's imagination is always running away with her--that imagination causes Emily to get into some hilarious scrapes! Living in a big farmhouse at a time when automobiles are brand-new inventions, Emily's always dreaming of ways to liven up her sleepy town, from feeding the hogs an unusual treat to holding a very scary sleepover.
