Electronics Quality Tool Set

These tools are needed for both LED Scope Part 1 & Part 2. Recommended for kits requiring soldering.

(Starting from center, then top, moving clockwise):

• 25W Pencil-Tip Soldering Iron
  Provides the right heat for soldering electronic components. Over 30 watts may damage components/PCB. Under 20 watts may not heat fast enough, leading to damage.

• Cage-Type Soldering Iron Stand
  Prevents burns to surfaces, test leads, and people.

• Safety Glasses
  Always protect your eyes when working with tools!

• Basic Digital Multimeter with Test Leads
  Measures DC/AC Voltage, Current, Resistance, and tests Diodes/Transistors.

• Long, Narrow Tweezers
  Useful for positioning small parts and prying components.

• De-Soldering Pump
  A vacuum pump to remove melted solder for circuit disassembly.

• 60/40 Tin/Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire (0.025" Dia.)
  Low-temp, lead-based solder for ease of learning. Lead-free solders can make poor joints without experience.

• Universal Wire Strippers & Cutters
  For stripping insulation and cutting heavy-gauge wire.

• De-Soldering Braid
  Absorbs solder from small spaces like a paper towel with water.

• Needle-Nose Pliers
  For holding parts, bending, and shaping component leads.

• Fine, Flush Wire Cutters
  Trims leads after soldering. Only for fine copper wire and component leads!
